Presenting Content
Top-Down View
At the home page of the Digital Resource Commons a RepositoryUser? can browse and search all of the available objects (including OaiDataHarvester? metadata) in the repository. Ultimately, the goal is to make this top level DRC a central point for all of the scholarly and cultural content created in or about Ohio, whether that content is stored in the DRC or harvested from repositories around the state and world.
Scoped View
Each community also has one or more ScopedViews? of its content. Each ScopedView has its own hostname/URL and its own CommunityBranding? settings. Communities can be nested such that one ScopedView contains a number of other communities/ScopedViews. For instance, within a ScopedView for a School of Business community there can be a ScopedView for economics and a ScopedView for management information systems. In this case, it would be possible to search and browse content at the School of Business level that includes economics and management information systems (e.g. "http://repository.business.university.edu/"), branded at the School of Business level, while economics ("http://repository.economics.business.university.edu/") and management information systems ("http://repository.mis.business.university.edu/") also have their own ScopedView with corresponding branding.
A ScopedView can also contain communities across institutional boundaries. For instance, an "Ohio's Schools of Business" ScopedView ("http://business.drc.ohiolink.edu/") can contain content from different institutions ("http://business.college-a.edu/" and "http://business.college-b.edu/"). With this view, a RepositoryUser? can browse and search content from all of Schools of Business in Ohio.
For the operation document about scoping by institution, please seethis MS Word document.

Access Control
The objects available depends upon the RepositoryUser?'s level of AuthN and AuthZ in the DRC and the ObjectAudience? settings for every object in the repository. Access control can be set using ShibAccessMgt or IPAccessMgt.
Exhibit-builder Interface
See DigitalExhibition. Does it also make sense to provide a Fedora-on-rails kind of interface for those that want to develop something more sophisticated than Pachyderm can offer?
